Biography

I have more than 20 years of experience in assessing and diagnosing learning disabilities and psychiatric impairment among various population groups, including those with low-incidence handicaps (vision, hearing and language impairment).
I obtained my Ph.D. at New School University and studied neuropsychological testing at Beth Israel Hospital in New York.
I worked for eight years within the Department of Education in New York, providing diagnostic testing and counseling at a day-treatment school and then at HHVI, a specialized assessment center for people with hearing, vision and language impairments.
I was a Senior Psychologist at Manhattan Family Court, providing forensic evaluations of juvenile delinquents and of adults accused of neglect and child abuse. I also provided expert-witness testimony in court.
I was a clinical psychologist at Loewenstein Rehabilitation Hospital, in Ra’anana, Israel, providing counseling to children and their families suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after accidents and other traumatic events; and providing diagnostic evaluations for children with traumatic brain injury (TBI).
I provide services to the American International School in Israel; Nitzan, Israel’s national learning-disabilities organization; Israel’s school system; the various national embassies in Israel; the U.S. Department of Defense; the New York City Department of Education; Tricare-London, an HMO serving U.S. military personnel overseas; SAT and GMAT preparation centers; and private mental-health professionals.
